
MSU Women Open MVC Play Against Valparaiso

SPRINGFIELD – After wrapping up non-conference action against Tulsa, the Missouri State women's soccer team opens Missouri Valley Conference play against league newcomer Valparaiso at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 23 at Betty & Bobby Allison South Stadium.

Having met just three times, Missouri State holds a perfect 3-0-0 all-time lead over the Crusaders. MSU and the Valley newcomer have not met up since the 1998 season, when the Bears won 2-1 at home in overtime. The Bears have surrendered just one goal to Valparaiso, outscoring the Crusaders 5-1 in its three meetings.
