ST. LOUIS -- Missouri State senior Jessica Allen was honored for the second time this season as the Missouri Valley Conference Female Cross Country Athlete of the Week, Tuesday afternoon.

Allen ran a 17:11.8 five-kilometer race at the Chile Pepper Festival on Saturday. Her time marked the fastest 5K throughout the conference during the weekend, and the third fastest in Missouri State history. She earned a third-place spot and led the pack of 12 Bears to runner-up status among Division I teams.
