Red Race | Open Race

PEORIA, Ill. – In a field of regionally-ranked teams, Missouri State women's cross country squad finishes the regular season out strong at the Bradley Pink Classic Friday afternoon. The Bears blazed a 17^th place team finish in the Women's Red six-kilometer race. Nine bears ran in the red race while six MSU athletes competed in the Women's Open Race.

Jessica Allen led the Bears by running a 21:21.4 6K marking a new personal best. Allen finished 10^th overall with a time that marks the sixth fastest 6K in school history, and was just a minute short of first place finisher Lindsey Brewis from Loyola.

Coming in behind Allen was Grace Breiten who finished 54^th in her first 6K race as a Bear with a 22:10.3 time, while Erica Wollmering came in third for the Bears and set a 22:58.8 pace in the contest.

In the Women's Open Race that included 114 runners; Lindsey Biesemeyer was the top finisher for MSU. The freshman ran a 24:22.2 6K to finish 57^th. Kayla Fallis and Caroline Duboeug recorded a 25:26.8 and 25:50.8 times respectively.

The Bears will be back in action at the Missouri Valley Conference Championship Oct. 28. The meet will be hosted by MSU at the Springfield Underground. The men's league teams will run at 10:30 a.m. followed by the women at 11:30 a.m. The entirety of the championship will be broadcast on ESPN3.
