MSU Cross Country Recognized by USTFCCCA for Academics

NEW ORLEANS - Missouri State was one of 205 women's cross country teams to earn All-Academic Team status by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association of America (USTFCCCA), the USFTCCCA announced Friday.

The Bears combined for a 3.20 cumulative grade point average during the 2015 season. Three student-athletes carried a 3.95 GPA or higher - Madeline Saville (English Education), Alyson Jones (Public Relations), and Jessica Allen (Biology).

Every member of the cross country squad is also a member of the MSU Athletic Director's Honor Roll, where a student-athlete must carry a 3.0 GPA or higher.

To qualify as a USTFCCCA All-Academic Cross Country Team, the team must have had a cumulative team GPA of 3.00 or better and have started at least five runners at their respective NCAA regional championship.
