DICKSON, Tenn. – With three individuals currently sitting in the top 10, Missouri State's men's golf team has jumped out to a six-stroke lead in the team standings after posting rounds of 286-294—580 here Monday at the F&M Bank APSU Intercollegiate.

Neal Stafford's Bears are leading the 10-team field at Greystone Golf Club with 18 holes remaining Tuesday. Mercer University (586) is currently in second with UT Martin (587), Belmont (596) and Murray State (596) still in the hunt. Host Austin Peay (600) sits in sixth place.
Missouri State raced out to a commanding lead with an opening-round 286 behind a two-under-par 70 from sophomore
Jack Knoesel and one-under 71 by classmate Korey Franks. Fellow sophomore
Adam Fisher provided support with a 72, while freshman
Lukas McCalla tallied a 73.
The second round was much of the same with Franks (72) leading the charge, while Fisher (73) and McCalla (74) were close behind, with Knoesel and
Brad Carpenter carding respectable rounds of 75. MSU's second-round total of 294 was third-best in the field and helped the Bears take a six-stroke advantage into the final 18 holes.
At the end of the day one, Franks (71-72—143) was tied for fourth place, four strokes behind individual leader Kiko Rosete (73-66—139) of Mercer. Fisher (72-73—145) was tied for eighth, along with Knoesel (70-75—145), while McCalla (73-74—147) was in 12
th place in the field of 60 individuals.
The teams will pick up the clubs again Tuesday morning on the 7,045 course with 18 holes ahead – Missouri State's final round of the fall season.
