Series History
Missouri State trails 17-10 in the all-time series, though only seven games have been played since 1990. The Lady Bears have won four of the last five meetings, including a 67-53 victory in Springfield in 2013 and 57-52 win in Kansas City last season.

Scouting Missouri
Missouri went 19-14 overall last season, 7-9 in Southeastern Conference play and advanced to the third round of the WNIT. The Tigers return four starters and 11 letterwinners from that team, and are picked to finish seventh in the 14-team SEC this season. Jordan Frericks is MU's top returning scorer and rebounder, with averages of 13.2 points and 9.9 boards per game last year, and point guard Lianna Doty returns from injury after dishing out 326 assist in her first two seasons.

Scouting the Lady Bears
Missouri State is the preseason favorite to win the Missouri Valley Conference after going 18-15 overall and 13-5 in the league last season. Senior guard Kenzie Williams is a preseason first-team all-MVC pick after scoring 15.4 points per game last season, and fellow senior Tyonna Snow averaged 14.6 points in 2014-15 and ranks sixth in MSU history with 243 career steals. Senior Hillary Chvatal ranked fourth in the MVC with 7.6 rebounds per game last year, and sophomore Liza Fruendt was an all-freshman pick with a 10.4 point scoring average.
The Lady Bears return more than 90 percent of last season's scoring output and more than 88 percent of the rebounding, with four starters and all but one scholarship player returning to the 2015-16 roster.
