Meet Notes
• The Missouri State cross country team competes in the Missouri Valley Conference Championships at Southern Illinois University Cross Country Course Saturday with the race scheduled for an 11:30 a.m., start.
• The Bears were picked to finish 10th in this year's event with 13 points in a pre-championship coaches' poll released this week. Bradley (six first-place votes, 94 points), Illinois State (four first-place votes, 90 points), and Illinois State (one first-place vote, 76 points) were chosen as the favorites to claim the championship.
• Missouri State has won the MVC title six times overall with the last championship coming in 2004.
