SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Season and single-game tickets for Missouri State's 25-game 2012 home baseball schedule, as well as single-game tickets and tournament packages for the 2012 State Farm Missouri Valley Baseball Championship, are now on-sale through the MSU Athletics Box Office.
Anticipation for the 2012 season is at a fever pitch, as head coach Keith Guttin's Bears enter the new campaign as the MVC's preseason favorites following a 33-23 season in 2011. Additionally, MSU will have the home field advantage in its quest for the Valley championship when the league's postseason tournament returns to Hammons Field, May 22-26.
Season ticket packages for lower-level reserved chairback seats are available for $100 to the general public, $50 for Missouri State faculty and staff and $20 for students. Students must show a valid and current student ID along with a student ticket to gain entry to Hammons Field.
Bears' single-game tickets for the 2012 season are priced at $5 for the general public, $2.50 for Missouri State faculty and staff, $2 for students and $4 per person for groups of 15 or more. Children ages 12 and under are admitted free of charge to all regular-season MSU games at Hammons Field.
MVC Championship all-tournament packages begin at $40 for Bears season ticket-holders. General public (including faculty/staff non-season ticket holders) all-tournament packages are available for $50, while student tournament passes are on sale for $20.
Single-game prices for the tournament are $10 for adults and $5 for students and children between the ages of 2 and 12. Kids under the age of 2 will be admitted free of charge.
After playing their first 12 games of the year on the road, the Bears will open the home slate March 6, against Oklahoma State. MSU will also welcome the likes of SIU Edwardsville, Purdue, Oral Roberts, Kansas, Arkansas State, Kansas State, Saint Louis and Missouri to Hammons Field along with Missouri Valley Conference series against reigning league champ Creighton, Illinois State, Southern Illinois and Evansville.
