2012 MVC Championship Preview 
The Missouri State cross country squad will trek to the Missouri Valley Conference Cross Country Championship in Normal, Ill. on Saturday, Oct. 27. The Bears will compete in the women's 5K race, which begins at 10:30 a.m.
Missouri State was picked to finish eighth in the MVC Pre-Championship Poll. The Bears received 30 points in the poll, ahead of Evansville and Creighton. Host Illinois State was picked to win the championship with 96 points and six first-place votes.
The Bears will be represented at the meet by senior Emily Beaver; juniors Erin Edwards, Lisa Imgrund and Nicolate Thate; and freshmen Taeler Marshall and Tenaly Smith.
