SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - The end of the regular season has arrived for the Missouri State swimming & diving team as it welcomes conference-foe Evansville to Hammons Student Center for Senior Night on Friday, January 27. Diving will kick off the meet at 4 p.m. with the swimming set to begin at 5 p.m.
In their final meet before the conference championships, the Bears will look to go 2-for-2 on the season in dual meets against league opponents. Both the MSU men and women secured victories against Southern Illinois at home on Oct. 15.
Missouri State has had unlimited success against Evansville in swimming & diving in years past. The Bears have never lost in men's competition (14-0), while the women hold a 9-2 all-time mark against the Purple Aces. Last season, the Bears dominated Evansville, winning 92-21 on the men's side and 72-41 in women's action.
At the first break in action following the completion of the 200 IM, 11 seniors will be recognized for their contributions to the Missouri State swimming & diving program.
The seniors competing in their final contest at Hammons Student Center include: Jeff Bentz, Bryson Cramer, Tyler Saltzberry for the men and Brynne Buell, Liz Chollet, Dimitra Drakopoulou, Katie Lindeman, Laura Peterson, Dawn Richerson, Ali Stauffer and Brianna Willoughby for the women.
