        Final Stats
Missouri State fell to Indiana 4-1 this weekend, with the Bears' only goal coming late in the second half. Though the final score would show otherwise, the Bears had a strong showing. "We played well, Indiana just capitalized on penalty corners", said Bears' assistant coach Erika Dombkowski. All four of Indiana's goals came from penalty corners.
At the end of the first half, Missouri State trailed 1-0, with the first half's lone goal coming from Indiana's Morgan Freeman. Indiana would turn up the heat in the second half, totaling 16 shots-on-goal for the match. The Bears fought hard defensively with keeper Katie Mulloy racking up 11 saves and defender Reiann Stoute tallying a defensive save of her own.
The Bears would also step up their game offensively towards the end of the second half with freshman Sarah Bradley leading the charge. Bradley had three shots-on-goal, capitalizing on one late in the second half to score the Bears' only goal of the match. Bradley's first career goal at MSU was unassisted as she dribbled through the Hoosier defenders to knock it into the left corner of the cage.
The Bears will be back in action later this week as they travel to Louisville, Ky., to take on Louisville on Friday, Sept. 9 at 3 p.m. and Appalachian State Saturday, Sept. 10 at 2 p.m.
