SPRINGFIELD -- Kyle Weems has a game-high eight points to lead Missouri State to a 26-20 halftime lead over visiting Tulsa in non-conference action at JQH Arena.

The Bears, who entered the game with a 21-game home win streak against non-conference opponents, have forced 12 Golden Hurricane turnovers and out-rebounded the visitors by a 19-18 margin.

Both teams have been ice cold from the field with MSU firing at just 33.3 percent (11-for-33), while Tulsa was 7-for-20 (.350).

Weems also has a game-high 6 rebounds for MSU, which held Tulsa without a field goal for more than six minutes midway through the opening period. Jarmar Gulley has 7 points for MSU, while Caleb Patterson has scored 6.

MSU is also 0-for-9 from three-point range.

Tulsa has 6 points from Jordan Clarkson. The visitors are also 5-of-7 (.714) from the free throw line, compared to MSU's 4-for-8 (.500).
