The cross country bears are hosting Bears Movie Night, tonight, Tuesday Aug. 31, at 7:15 on the Missouri State softball field. This is the first night in a series of four movies to air every Tuesday evening. Tonight, the movie featured will be The Blind Side featuring Sandra Bullock and Tim McGraw. Admission is $1 and concessions (popcorn, candy and soft drinks) will be $1 apiece. Movie-goers are asked to bring a blanket or lawn chair to sit upon. All proceeds benefit Missouri State cross country.
Missouri State cross country will begin their 2010 campaign on Friday, Sept. 3 in Bolivar, Mo. The women will take part in the Southwest Baptist's Bearcat Invitational. Last season, the Bears ran a dual meet against the Bearcats, with the Bears sweeping top honors. This season, the two teams will meet in an invitational setting. Missouri State freshman Monica Smith was a member of the Bearcats last season, but was redshirted and did not compete.
