Missouri State Head Coach Terry Allen
On the conditions
"The wind was obviously a factor out there. With the gusts, it made the ball like a knuckle ball. Our players aren’t used to playin in conditions like this, but it's not an excuse."
On the athleticism of Kirby
"Four or five times the snaps were high and allowed Cody for an option read. Without Cody’s athleticism, the ball would have gone over his head."
On being thin on the offensive line
"They (NDSU) were good at grabbing and holding on. We had to put David Arkin up there at tackle to help. KB (Kevaughn Brown) was out there on one leg basically doing the best he could, and it just makes it very difficult."
Seth Reichert
"I felt like we just have to play better, we made too many mistakes. We should have played better. It’s been real frustrating this season. I love this university and everything it stands for. You just get the feeling that you could do better."
Chris Geisz
On NDSU’s Defense:
"We felt like we could move the ball against them offensively. It doesn’t matter to us how far behind we are, we still wanted to try our best."
On the Weather:
"It’s cold out there, you have to do what you have to do. This is not weather that anyone is new to. Growing up and in high school ball, you play in cold weather. There was nothing that was keeping us from doing our job."
Cody Kirby
On the Beginning of the Third Quarter:
"Well, we had some penalties. It was like we were just hurting ourselves. When you play a good team, you can’t make those mistakes. You can’t have those penalties, and you can’t make those mistakes, especially this far into the season. It’s frustrating any time you have penalties, but it’s no excuse to stop executing on offense."
On the Seniors:
"I just want to point out that these two guys (Reichert and Geisz) have been great leaders, great mentors. You couldn’t play with a better group of guys than these seniors. I just wanted to say that these guys have done a lot for our program, they’ve really put their hearts into this program."
