Ben Miller, assistant coach in men’s basketball at Missouri State University since 2004, has been promoted to Associate Head Coach on the staff of Bears’ head coach Barry Hinson.
    Miller’s promotion was approved by the Missouri State Board of Governors at last Friday’s board meeting.
    Miller will enter his fourth year at Missouri State this fall after having helped guide the Bears to 63 wins and three National Invitation Tournament berths in his time with the program.
    A 1991 graduate of Luther College, Miller came to Missouri State after nine seasons on the staffs of head coaches Roy Williams and Bill Self at Kansas. Miller received his master’s degree in 1992 from the University of Northern Iowa.
