Bears Land Two on All-CUSA Men's Team

March 09, 2026

DALLAS -- Missouri State forwards Keith Palek III (Sr. Woodbine, N.J.) and Michael Osei-Bonsu (Sr., Bolingbrook, Ill.) were both named to the All-Conference USA Men's Basketball Team on Monday, the league announced.

The pair represents Missouri State's first-ever all-conference honorees in CUSA. Their honors also mark the first time since the 2021-22 season the Bears have boasted two all-conference players.

Palek, a second-team selection, became the first Missouri State player to post 500 points, 200 rebounds and 100 assists in a season and is currently one of five Division I players to reach those statistical milestones this season. He is averaging 17.8 points, 6.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game with 38 three-pointers and 31 steals and has scored in double figures in 28-of-31 games this season with 14 games of 20 or more points and three double-doubles. He was also named to the CUSA All-Academic Team last week.

Osei-Bonsu, a third-team honoree, has scored 768 points in his two seasons at Missouri State, the 17th-best career total for any two-year player in program history. As a senior, he is averaging 14.8 points and 7.4 rebounds per game while converting 57.2 percent of his field goal attempts. He has racked up six double-doubles on the year and has eclipsed 20 points in 11 ball games. Osei-Bonsu currently ranks No. 9 in CUSA in scoring and No. 7 in rebounding while ranking 34th nationally in offensive rebounding (3.21 per game) and 37th in field goal percentage (57.2).

Liberty's Zach Cleveland was named CUSA Player of the Year and headlined the All-CUSA first team along with teammate Brett Decker, Jax State's Mostepha El Moutaouakkil, Kennesaw's RJ Johnson and WKU's Teagan Moore.

The Bears open up this week's Conference USA Tournament in Huntsville, Ala., with a first-round matchup against FIU on Tuesday evening at 5:30 p.m. For complete information, visit the Missouri State #RocketCityHoops Tournament Central page.
