By virtue of her fifth-place finish at Saturday’s State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Cross Country Championships, Missouri State sophomore Kristin Wolkey has been named All-MVC for the second straight year.
Wolkey turned in a 5K time of 18:03 to finish behind conference champion Ashley Anklam (17:36) of Drake, Chelsie Baldwin (17:40) of Wichita State, Traci Hawley (17:51) of UNI and Sarah Becker (17:58) of Wichita State. Wolkey’s time of 17:23.67 at the Memphis Twilight Classic on Oct. 7 eclipsed Casey Owen’s Missouri State record and remains the Valley’s top performance this season.
