This week's Murney Student-Athlete of the Week is Missouri State women's basketball's Kyrah Daniels. Daniels led MSU in points per game (10.5), blocks per game (2.0) and field goal percentage (.571) last week as she helped lead MSU to wins over Valpo and UIC. She also shot 80% (4-5) from behind the arc, grabbed 10 rebounds (5.0/game) and had two assists off the bench for Missouri State across the two victories. In Thursday night’s game against Valparaiso, Daniels had six points in addition to a career-high eight rebounds, two assists and two blocks. On Saturday afternoon against UIC, she scored a career-high 15 points, while shooting 60% (6-10) for the game and going a perfect 3-for-3 from behind the arc. She also helped anchor a Missouri State defense that held both Valpo and UIC to 50 points or less as MSU extended its win streak to six games.
