This week's Murney Student-Athlete of the Week is Missouri State men’s soccer’s Gijs Hovius. One of the handful of newcomers on the Bears squad, sophomore forward Gijs Hovius had a breakout week beginning Wednesday against Saint Louis (Sept. 27) when he notched his first assist of the season to tie the game at one and solidify a tie for the Bears. He followed up with a career performance at Bradley on Sept. 30 where he scored two goals in Missouri State's 6-0 rout over the Braves.
