Greg Stratton scored two game winning goals last week to boost the Bears record to 11-1 overall this season and help extend their active home win streak to 11 games. First, to close out non-conference play, Stratton’s header was the tiebreaking goal in the Bears' eventual 5-1 victory over Kansas City on Oct. 12. Knotted up at one apiece, Stratton helped spark the five-goal performance, the most MSU has scored in a game this season. Days later when MSU resumed conference play on Oct. 17 against SIUE, the senior defender tapped a ball into the back of the net behind the goalkeeper to give MSU the 1-0 lead and its lone goal in the 58th minute. He also played 158 minutes between the two games, staying on the field during the entirety of the Bears shutout against the Cougars on Sunday.
