Brianne Dixon earned the MVC’s Elite 18 award for the second consecutive season at the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament in Cedar Falls, Iowa, last week. The award, which honors athletic and academic excellence, goes to the participating player with the highest cumulative grade point average in the conference tournament title match. Dixon, a junior cell & molecular biology major from Springfield, owns a perfect 4.0 GPA, and scooped 23 digs in the tournament, including 10 in the semifinal win over Illinois State and 13 in the title match versus Wichita State.
