Missouri State's Jake Buckle helped the Bears come from behind in their quarterfinal match against Central Arkansas on Wednesday (Nov. 9) and MSU's semifinal match-up against Loyola on Friday (Nov. 11) in the 2016 MVC Men's Soccer Championship in Springfield. The sophomore's equalizer in the 27th minute against Central Arkansas forced the match to go to a shootout, where the Bears advanced to Friday's semifinal match on penalty kicks, 5-4. MSU trailed Loyola early on Friday, before Buckle's goal in the 72nd minute of the match forced extra time and helped the Bears complete the upset. Buckle was one of three student-athletes from MSU to be named to the 2016 MVC All-Tournament Team for his performance throughout the championship.
