After a standout playing career under Coach McRoberts at Ole Miss, Nicole Purcell rejoined her former head coach as a Graduate Manager prior to the 2020 season. In her role at Missouri State, Purcell assists with practice planning, travel, stats and scouting, and other administrative duties.
Purcell was a record-setting defensive specialist as a player for the Rebels, finishing her career with 1,231 digs to rank fifth in school history. She appeared in 473 career sets and helped Ole Miss to the 2017 NIVC Championship.
A native of Leawood, Kan., Purcell led the Southeastern Conference in total digs (555) and average (4.74/set) as a senior in 2019, setting a school record for season digs during the 25-point scoring era while playing every set as the Rebels’ libero.
Purcell earned her psychology degree from Ole Miss in 2020.
