2006-07: Linnens emerged as one of the top players in the Valley, earning all-conference honors for the second time and finishing third in the league with a 76.5 scoring average...She continued her trademark consistency, posting top-10 finishes six times and leading the team with 26 of her 31 rounds in the 70's...Linnens opened the season by taking fourth at the Hawkeye Intercollegiate, posting 77-78-77--232...A team co-captain, she took ninth at the Chip-N-Club Invitational with 235 and 12th at the ORU Shootout with 231...She set the school 54-hole scoring record (with teammate Lyndsey Adams) at the Shootout at the Legends, finishing fifth and firing 72-73-73--218; she and Adams were then named Valley Players of the Week...The defending conference champion, she tied for fifth at the MVC Preview with 76-79--155, but then slipped to 23rd at the conference spring meet with 78-85-76--239...Linnens opened the spring campaign with a fifth at the Islander Spring Classic (75-73-72--220), then was 13th at Rio Verde and a season-best runnerup at the Diablo Grande Intercollegiate (76-75-78--229)...At the end of the season, she was voted the recipient of the Bears' Heart of a Champion award by her teammates for the second straight year...She was voted to the MVC Scholar-Athlete Team for the second consecutive year and was named to the prestigious National Golf Coaches Association Scholar-Athlete Team.
2005-06: Coming off a summer in which she won the Wichita City Championship and finished second in the Kansas Amateur, Linnens was tri-medalist at the MVC Championships, her first collegiate win, shooting 74-73-78--225...She was one of the most improved players in the league, ranking second on the team and sixth in the conference in scoring average at77.1, nearly five strokes better than her freshman campaign...She compiled five top-10 finishes, includingseventh in the season opener at Iowa (78-75-81--234), eighthat the Islander Spring Classic (76-75-75--226), fifth at the Lady Herd Intercollegiate (79-76-75--230) and ninthin the MSU/Payne Stewart Memorial (78-78-90--236) in addition to the Valley meet...Linnens alsotied for 20th overall and first on the team at the Marilynn Smith/Sunflower Invitational after firing 75-77-77--229...An outstanding student, she was voted to the MVC Scholar-Athlete Team...At the end of the season, Linnens was voted the recipient of the Bears[apos] Heart of a Champion award by her teammates...She was named a team co-captainas a sophomore, the youngestcaptain in school history.2004-05: She became an immediate force for the Bears, playing in all 11 tournaments and posting an 81.7 scoring average, which ranked her second on the team...Linnens ranked second on the team with 10 rounds in the 70's and four top 10 finishes -- at Nebraska, Iowa, Payne Stewart Memorial and the MVC Championship...She fired a then-career best 76 in the final round of the conference meet to propel her to a tie for 10th...Her best finish was a tie for sixth at Iowa, where she carded 77-81-81--239.
High School: Linnens finished in the top 10 at the state Class 6A-5A high school meet her final three years, including fourth as a junior and eighth as a senior...She was a three-time regional and four-time conference champion at Goddard High...She took runnerup honors at the 2003 Kansas Junior Girls Championship...She also was a first team all-conference midfielder in soccer.
