At Missouri State: Argotsinger will run in the distance events following her freshman cross country season....2010 Cross Country: Finished a season-best ninth at the Southwest Baptist University Twilight, running in 20:24.75....Ran a personal best 20:20.54 at the Chile Pepper Festival....Background: Argotsinger earned 2009 and 2010 all-State honors, as well as all-American distinction as part of coach Jesse Griffin[apos]s strong middle distance relay squad at Lee[apos]s Summit West High School....2009 relay success included a sixth place finish in the 4xOne-Mile relay at the Nike Outdoor Nationals in Greensboro, N.C. and a fourth place finish in the 4x800-meter relay at the 4A State Track and Field Championship....4x800-meter relay teams also placed second at the 4A meet in 2008, fourth in 2010 and were state champions in 2007....Was one of the state[apos]s top 800-meter runners after placing 11th at the 2009 state championship....Qualified for the state meet with a personal best 2:18.75 at her sectional championship....Has been part of one of the state[apos]s most dominant programs, contributing to 4A team championships in 2007, 2008 and 2009 in cross country....Personal: Emily Argotsinger was born August 12, 1991, in Overland Park, Kan....Daughter of Jamie and Barbara Argotsinger....Has two siblings; brothers Ryan and Andrew....Majoring in exercise science and plans to pursue a career that focuses on health and nutrition.
