2023-24: Appeared in 28 games as a true freshman…Averaged 4.4 points, 2.4 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 15.9 minutes per game…Scored her first career points and grabbed four rebounds at Oklahoma State (Nov. 26)…Collected a season-high four steals and three assists at Bradley (Jan. 11)…Recorded her first double-figure scoring performance against Indiana State with 12 points while shooting .833 (5-for-6) from the field (Jan. 21)…Posted a season-high 14 points (5-for-8 FG) with five rebounds and three assists in a season-high 31 minutes at Belmont (Jan. 26)…Contributed six points and five rebounds in Missouri State’s postseason WBIT game at Illinois (March 21)…Tallied three double-figure scoring performances on the season…Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for Fall 2023 and Spring 2024.
Background: A local product and four-year starter out of Republic High School, Bekemeier averaged 23 points and 10 rebounds per game as she helped lead her team to a 26-4 record as a senior… Named District Player of the Year and was a McDonald’s All-American nominee in her senior campaign…Holds numerous school records, highlighted by becoming the Republic High all-time points leader (boys or girls) with 2,267 career points and breaking the single-game (48) and single-season (674) scoring records…Three-time Central Ozark Conference Player of the Year and a four-time first-team all-conference, all-district and all-state selection…Averaged 22.8 points and 8 rebounds per game while shooting 51 percent from the field and 80 percent from the free throw line as a junior…As a sophomore, Bekemeier averaged 21 points and 9 rebounds per game, shooting 49 percent from the field and 80 percent from the charity stripe on a 19-8 Tigers team…Tallied 15.3 points and 5 rebounds per game as she helped lead the Tigers to a 20-10 record and a district championship in her freshman campaign…Also played basketball for the Missouri Phenom of the EYBL.
