Background: A Kansas product, Brueggen was a four-year starter at Hesston High School…Three-time all-league unanimous first-team selection and two-time first-team all-state performer…Led her team to three appearances in the state tournament…Left Hesston as the all-time leading scorer with 1,781 career points and as the leader in three-point field goals with 182 for her career…Averaged 20.4 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.4 steals per game as a senior while shooting .496 from the field and .363 from three…Posted career bests as a junior with 22.2 points and 7.0 rebounds per game as she helped lead the Swathers to a state runner-up finish…In her sophomore campaign, she averaged 19.1 points, 6.6 rebounds and 3.0 steals per game…Started her high school career by averaging 10.6 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.9 steals per game as a freshman…Was also an all-state and all-league selection in volleyball as a senior…Also played AAU basketball for Mokan.
