MVC Scholar-Athlete Second Team honoree…Member of the CSC Academic All-District Team…Made 28 appearances in the circle, earning 10 starts…Owned a 5.59 earned run average, an 8-10 record and struck out 41 batters in 86.1 innings pitched…Ranked second in the MVC in walks allowed (17) and 10th in wins…Pitched 4.1 innings in relief and held No. 5 Clemson scoreless over the final two innings to open the season at the NFCA Leadoff Classic in Clearwater, Fla. Appeared in 19 total games, drawing two starts in the circle…Tossed 12.2 innings and collected eight strikeouts as a true freshman…Logged 5.1 relief innings against California Baptist, allowing one earned run on just four hits, while striking out a season and career-high four batters (February 12)…Drove in her first career run with a sacrifice fly versus Valparaiso (March 26)…Recorded her first collegiate hit at Loyola after entering the game as a pinch hitter (April 23)…NFCA All-American Scholar-Athlete…Named to the MSU Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for Fall 2021 and Spring 2022.
High School
A four-year starter at Oologah (Okla.) High, Chacòn put together an impressive high school resume that included three district championships and two state tournament appearances … Two-time all-district Player of the Year (2019 and 2020) … 2018 all-district Pitcher of the Year … Earned all-state honors as a senior … Hit .385 with 7 home runs and recorded 172 strikeouts as a senior … As a junior, Chacòn hit .432 with 11 home runs and 37 RBI as the Mustangs advanced to the state semifinals.
