Honors: Athletic Director's Honor Roll (Fall 2023)

2023-24: Played in 31 of MSU’s 33 games…Averaged 2.9 points, 2.0 rebounds and 9.3 minutes per game…Pulled down four rebounds in just over two minutes on the floor in the season opener at Little Rock (Nov. 6)…Recorded her first career points at Oklahoma State (Nov. 26)…Logged three double-figure scoring performances on the season, all of  which came in consecutive games (Jan. 11-19)…Poured in a career-high 12 points on 6-of-9 from the field at Bradley (Jan. 11)…Dished out a career-high five assists in addition to scoring 10 points at Illinois State (Jan. 14)…Grabbed a career-high seven rebounds and scored 10 points in a career-high 20 minutes against Evansville (Jan. 19)…Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for Fall 2023.

Background: A four-year high school starter, Volker helped lead Paul VI Catholic High to two state championships in her junior and senior seasons…First-team all-state and all-conference selection as a senior…Averaged 14.2 points, 7.8 boards and 3.1 assists per game in her senior campaign as she ended her career with 1,507 points…Named to the All-WCAC team and surpassed 1,000 career points in her junior season…Spent her first two high school seasons at Loudoun Valley High School, where she was a two-time district and regional champion, while making two appearances in the state semifinals…Earned District and County Player of the Year in addition to being selected to the all-state first team as a sophomore…In her freshman season, she set the school record for most blocked shots in a game (11) and blocks in season (76) to help her earn first-team all-district and all-county honors…Also played for the Fairfax Stars of the EYBL.
 
Personal: Louis Volker is the daughter of Clair and Jacquelyn Volker…Born September 20, 2005 in Pontiac, Mich….Has a brother, Clyde, and a sister, Lee...Her father, Clair, played basketball at Fairmont State and her sister, Lee, currently plays basketball at Marquette…Majoring in Journalism.
