2017: After logging one of the more impressive freshman seasons in Missouri State history in 2016, Eierman upped his game to a new level as a sophomore, becoming the 12th Bear to earn first-team All-America honors from one of the major voting bodies in collegiate baseball ... Picked up first-team honors from D1Baseball.com, Perfect Game and the NCBWA, in addition to second-team recognition from Collegiate Baseball and the ABCA, and third-team laurels from Baseball America to become the Bears' fifth consensus All-American in the last six seasons ... Also named NCBWA District VI Player of the Year and was a finalist for the Brooks Wallace Award honoring the top collegiate shortstop in the nation, as well as a semifinalist for the NCBWA's Dick Howser Trophy ... Forming a powerful one-two punch with fellow MSU infielder Jake Burger, Eierman ranked fifth in all of Division I baseball with his 23 home runs, which was good for the sixth-best single-season total in MSU history ... Also led the Bears and the Valley in RBIs (68) and ranked second in the circuit in slugging (.675), total bases (164), home runs and hit by pitch (12) ... In addition to home run total, season figures for runs (67), RBIs, extra-base hits (39), total bases and HBP all rank among the top 10 single-season marks in MSU history ... Hit a team-high .341 with runners on base logged a team-best 26 two-out RBIs ... Reached safely via a hit, walk or HBP in 33 straight games, March 15-May 12 ... Became the eighth Bear to earn a roster spot on USA Baseball's Collegiate National Team ... Started the season with a bang, collecting hits in each of his first six games while going 11-for-27 (.407) with three home runs and nine RBIs; posted three straight multi-hit efforts at the Lake View Classic on opening weekend, including a 3-for-4 effort in the opener vs. Rhode Island in which he homered, drove in three runs and scored twice in a 12-1 victory ... Added a 2-for-4 day with a second homer to cap the weekend against host McNeese State (Feb. 19) ... Named MVC Player of the Week on Feb. 20 ... Logged a 2-for-5 day with a home run at Lipscomb (Feb. 24), before driving in a pair of runs and scoring three times without  the benefit of a hit in a 13-0 white-washing of Arkansas State (March 1) ... Scored eight times over a four-game stretch, including a streak in which he homered in three consecutive games as part of a sweep of Central Arkansas (March 3-5) that helped earn him a second Valley Player of the Week nod ... Recorded another three-hit effort in a win over Memphis (March 17) as part of a seven-game hit streak (March 15-24); hit .448 (13-for-29) during the stretch with three multi-hit games ... Kicked off the MVC season with a flourish, going 6-for-12 with three homers and seven RBIs in MSU's sweep of Bradley (March 31-April 2) ... Drove in at least one run in nine consecutive games, March 31-April 13; also turned in an eight-game hit streak (April 7-17), hitting .515 (17-for-33) over the same stretch ... Posted back-to-back four-hit games against New Mexico (April 15) and Saint Louis to help open a nine-game win streak for MSU; homered in each of the two contests, going 8-for-10 with four doubles and eight RBIs overall ... Drove in five runs on two separate occasions—at SLU and at Evansville (April 28)—during the win streak to match a career high ... Scored at least two runs in five of six outings, April 28-May 7, including back-to-back three-run games (May 6-7) ... Hit the game-winning three-run homer in the top of the 11th inning May 7 to cap a three-game sweep of SIU ... Recorded back-to-back multi-RBI performances for the third time in 2017, May 7-12; drove in two runs in the Bears win over Indiana State ... Homered, scored twice and drove home two more runs in MSU's elimination game win over Southern Illinois (May 25) at the MVC Championship ... Singled and walked three times in an 8-6 victory over Illinois State the following day to keep the Bears' Valley Tournament hopes alive ... Delivered perhaps the most memorable home run in Missouri State history in the opening game of the Fayetteville Regional against Oklahoma State (June 2), belting a two-out, two-run blast in the bottom of the ninth inning to give the Bears a 6-5 walkoff win; the opposite-field homer was his second of the game and capped a day that saw him go 2-for-4 with three runs scored and three RBIs ... Recorded hits in all four Regional contests, including another monumental bomb in the deciding game against Arkansas (June 5) with a tie-breaking two-run shot that accounted for the difference in a 3-2 MSU win ... Homered again in MSU's Super Regional opener at TCU (June 10) and completed the postseason with four long balls, seven RBIs and a .333 batting mark.

2016: Burst onto the scene with a memorable rookie year that culminated with freshman All-America honors from Collegiate Baseball and the NCBWA ... Clubbed nine homers and 48 RBIs as a key cog in the Bears’ potent offense ... Made all 59 starts at shortstop for Missouri State, finishing the year with a .296 batting average, while slugging .504 and tallying 68 hits, with the latter two figures ranking third overall on the squad ... Registered one of the top all-around seasons in the the MVC, leading all players in RBIs (25) in league play, while ranking second in homers (5) and third in total bases (44) — all three of which led the Bears ... Ranked among the top rookies in the history of the Bears program in home runs, with his nine round-trippers representing the third-best freshman total in school history and the most by a Bear rookie since 1999 ... Also rated fifth in RBI, ninth in runs scored and 10th in hits among the top MSU freshman in program history ... Drove in at least four runs in a game on four occasions ... Was one of the Bears’ top hitters in April and May, hitting .338 with all nine of his long balls and 39 of his 48 RBIs over MSU’s final 34 contests ... Hit .303 with five homers and 25 RBIs — all team bests — in MVC play ... Hit in a season-best eight straight games, Feb. 20-March 6, going 10-for-29 (.345) to help the Bears go 7-1 over the same stretch ... Went 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles, two runs scored and two RBIs in an 11-1 win over SIU Edwardsville (March 6) ... Reached safely in 14-straight games, Feb. 20-March 16 ... Logged a pair of two-hit games in the Bears’ three-game sweep at Memphis (March 12-13) ... Went 2-for-5 with four RBIs and his first collegiate homer vs. Central Michigan (April 1) ... Reached base safely in four of his five trips to the plate April 5 vs. Saint Louis, going 2-for-3 with a pair of walks and a season-best three runs scored in the 15-4 victory ... Followed that effort with a 4-for-5 night against Kansas (April 6) in which he drove in two runs ... Homered in his MVC debut April 8 at Bradley, finishing 2-for-4 with a double and three RBIs to help the Bears to an 8-3 win; would go on to homer in five of the Bears’ first nine conference games ... Turned in the first of his two multi-hit games vs. Missouri on the season, going 2-for-5 in the Bears’ 16-1 victory on April 12, before driving in two more runs in a 2-for-4 night in Columbia (April 26) ... Homered as part of a 3-for-4 night at Wichita State (April 15), then went deep in back-to-back conference games vs. Evansville (April 22-23); matched a season high with four RBIs in the second game vs. UE, a 10-6 Bears’ victory ... Went deep in second and fifth innings at Arkansas (May 17), finishing the night 5-for-5 with three runs scored and four RBIs to become the first Bear since Luke Voit (May 24, 2012) to record five hits in a game ... Followed with seven more RBIs in his next two games vs. Illinois State (May 19-20), including a 4-for-5 day in which he drove home three runs and scored three of his own to lock up MVC Player of the Week (May 23) honors for batting .714 (10-for-14) with 11 RBIs and seven runs scored ... Wrapped up his freshman campaign with a 3-for-6 effort in the title game of the MVC Championship vs. Dallas Baptist (May 28) ... Played summer ball for the Bourne Braves in the prestigious Cape Cod League.

Background: Rated as Missouri’s top shortstop in the class of 2015 by Perfect Game USA and the No. 3 overall prospect in the state by Prep Baseball Report, Eierman came to MSU as a three-time all-state performer for Warsaw High School ... Named Missouri’s Gatorade Player of the Year as a senior in 2015, hitting .542 with eight home runs, 33 RBIs and 18 steals in just 26 games ... Named an honorable mention All-America and a second-team All-Central Region selection by Perfect Game ... Earned two consecutive Underclass High Honorable Mention All-America citations from PG.

Father played collegiately at Rice and professionally as an outfielder in the Boston Red Sox farm system ...
