All-MVC Second Team selection at the DP/UTL position…MVC Scholar-Athlete Team Honorable Mention ...Named to the CSC Academic All-District Team…Played in 46 games, splitting 32 starts between first base and designated player…Batted .283 on the year with 26 hits, 18 runs, 10 RBI, seven walks and five stolen bases…Tallied seven multiple-hit and three multiple-RBI games…Went 2-for-2 with a stolen base and sacrifice bunt in one-run loss to Western Kentucky at the NFCA Leadoff Classic (Feb. 9)…Knocked her first home run of the season – a solo shot - against NC State in Clearwater, Fla. Played in 38 games and made six starts with five coming at first base and one in center field…Primarily served as a pinch runner…Scored 11 runs and collected four hits, five RBI and a home run on the season…Perfect 7-for-7 in stolen base attempts…Went 1-for-1 in a pinch-hit appearance at South Alabama (Feb. 17)…Knocked a pinch-hit two-run homer in the series opener at Valparaiso (March 31)…In game two of the three-game series against the Beacons, she went 1-for-2 with a walk, a run scored and collected a career-high three RBI via a single and a bases-loaded walk (April 2)…Was one of three Bears to score in the seventh inning in MSU’s come-from-behind win over Indiana State (April 29)…Scored the game-winning run in a 3-2 victory at Murray State (May 7)…Named to the MSU Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for Fall 2022 and Spring 2023.

Appeared in 38 games, primarily as a pinch runner, but made two starts at first base as a true freshman…Recorded her first career hit against Pitt (February 18)…Launched her first career home run in game one of a doubleheader against Valparaiso (March 26)…Went 1-for-1 with a stolen base in a pinch-hit appearance at Drake (May 6)…Scored 10 runs and stole six bases in 2022…Committed no errors in 27 chances at first base…NFCA All-American Scholar-Athlete…Named to the MSU Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for Fall 2021 and Spring 2022.

A local product, Merced was a four-year starter for coach Jason Howser at Kickapoo High in Springfield as the Chiefs collected three conference championships (2017, 2019, 2020) … Earned all-state honors as a senior after leading her team to a third-place finish in the Class 5 state tournament … Named first team all-conference and first team all-district in all four seasons … Tied the single season home run record at Kickapoo her senior year … Collected the most stolen bases in three of her four seasons with the Chiefs … Led her team in RBI and batting average as a junior, in slugging percentage as a sophomore and in on-base percentage as a freshman.
