A two-way player out of Dallas Center-Grimes (Iowa), where she played for head coach Steve Schlafke, who is the father of current Missouri State head coach Kasey Griffith…Helped lead the Mustangs to three conference championships and state tournament appearances...Three-time first-team all-state, all-district and all-conference selection…Started playing for DCG as an eighth-grader, batting .449 with 10 doubles and 22 RBI en route to earning a second-team all-conference nod prior to officially starting high school academically…Collected second-team all-conference and third-team all-state honors as a freshman…Led the Mustangs to a state runner-up finish and conference title as a sophomore, batting .497 with 42 RBI and 10 home runs and owning a 1.99 ERA in the circle…Named to the Iowa High School all-tournament team in her sophomore campaign…Repeated as conference champions as a junior with a 29-11 record as she logged a .424 batting average, 32 RBI and a 2.28 ERA…Helped lead DCG back to the state tournament and a first-place league finish in her final season…Capped her high school career by batting .449 with 57 hits, 44 RBI, 20 runs, 15 doubles and eight home runs, while also going 17-8 in the circle with a 3.04 ERA and 126 strikeouts…Was a two-sport athlete at DCG, earning all-conference honorable mention recognition and playing for the 4A state champion basketball squad in her junior year…Played travel ball for Central Iowa Alliance.
