2019: Appeared in 14 matches for the Bears… Scored his only goal of the season against Kansas City (Sept. 7)… Played a season-high 43 minutes while chipping in an assist against Tulsa (Sept. 14).  

2018: Did not see action for the Bears.

Background: Jönsson comes to the Bears after playing with Lödde IF soccer club since 2012. Starting in 2015 Jönsson has been on the A-Team for Lödde IF playing in the midfield. Jönsson was selected and trained by Helsingborg's IF Academy's U15, U17 and U19 teams. Jönsson comes to the Bears from outside Malmo, Sweden where former MSU men's soccer coach and football kicker Jan Stahle is from.
