Jordan Valentine

Jordan Valentine was announced as the Missouri State men’s soccer assistant coach on January 5, 2022. He was promoted to associate head coach on December 21, 2023. 

In his second season under head coach Michael Seabolt, Valentine helped Missouri State to a 12-4-3 record and reach its fifth-straight NCAA Tournament and eighth all-time. He also helped the Bears win its third-ever NCAA Tournament game against Omaha on November 16, 2023.

In his first season with the Bears, Valentine helped lead the team to a Missouri Valley Conference regular-season title and tournament championship. MSU ended its season with its seventh appearance in the NCAA tournament and an overall mark of 12-2-4. He helped use his experience to impact the team on and off the field in the coaching staff's recruiting and coaching efforts.

Valentine came to to MSU with a wealth of experience serving as the first assistant men's soccer coach at UNC-Asheville during the 2021 season where he aided in the program's rebuilding process and recruiting efforts.  

Prior to his season at UNC-Asheville, Valentine spent three years at the helm of the Ohio Valley University men's soccer program. In his final season, he led the Fighting Scots to a program-best national ranking of No. 3 in Division II and the Great Midwest Athletic Conference regular season championship in Spring 2021 (11-0-0). He was also named the conference's coach of the year for his efforts. Valentine compiled an overall record of 24-6-2 over three seasons at Ohio Valley.   

Before his time at Ohio Valley, Valentine held head coaching positions at Defiance College and PSU-New Kensington. During his five years at Defiance, Valentine became the second-winningest coach in school history, leading the team to their best record since 2013. At PSU-New Kensington, he recorded a 15-14 overall record, with his best season coming in 2014 as his squad finished 9-6 on the year and 7-3 in the Pennsylvania State University Athletic Conference.  

Valentine played his college soccer at Ohio Valley University where he made sixty-seven appearances for the men's soccer program. He also earned All-West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference honors as a defender and midfielder.

Valentine is married to his wife, Kayla.
