2014: Started 16 games for the Bears after earning the starting goalkeeper spot in the first part of the season ... Played 1,514 minutes in net allowing just nine goals against for a 0.53 goals against average, the second-best single season mark in program history ... Allowed just one goal in conference play, tying both the school and conference record ... Recorded 33 saves on the season en route to nine individual, and one combined, shutouts ... won eight games and tied three as the starting keeper for MSU ... Earned Missouri Valley Conference Defensive Player of the Week (Oct. 27) for his clean sheet over Bradley, where he tied his career-high with four saves made ... Named MVC Scholar-Athlete of the Week (Nov. 12) after clinching the MVC regular-season title on the final day of the season with a shutout overtime victory over Evansville ... Named to both the All-MVC Honorable Mention Team and the MVC Scholar Athlete First Team.
2013: Played the key role of backup goalkeeper for Trevor Spangenberg...Took valuable reps in practice throughout the season.
2012: Redshirted his first season on campus.
Background: Started and lettered all four years for head coach Brian Bennett at Starkville (Miss.) High School...In his last three seasons, Watson and the Yellow Jackets compiled an impressive 38-7-4 record...Was named team captain during those three years...As a senior, he was voted team MVP and led Starkville to a district title...Also powered the program to its first-ever Mississippi state championship...Earned all-area first team honors and was the team's defensive MVP as a junior...Registered the program's first-ever shutout against Tupelo (Miss.) High School during his sophomore season.
Personal: Addison Kane Watson is the son of Dorothy Watson, who played volleyball at Winthrop University...Born on April 1, 1994 in Starkville, Miss...Has one sister, Mackenzie, and one brother, Tucker...Plans to major in criminology.
