High School
He prepped at Gibbs High School in St. Petersburg, Fla., where he helped coach Larry Murphy's Gladiators to a 27-5 record his senior season (2024-25) while averaging 8.3 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.3 blocks while shooting 56 percent from the field. In his junior season, Gibbs won its first state title in 55 years with Medina averaging 9.6 points, 6.8 points and 1.3 blocks. Medina also played for Puerto Rico at the 2024 FIBA U18 AmeriCup where he tallied 13 points and 4 rebounds vs. Team USA. He was listed as a national Top 75 prospect and four-star recruit by On3 Sports. He also played for Team Speights Elite on the PumaNXT circuit.
