Background

Cline comes to Missouri State this year from Springdale, Ark., where he was a four-year basketball regular for coach Brad Stamps. The Saints improved from 16-12 when Cline was a sophomore to a 24-8 mark his junior campaign and hiked that standard to a 27-5 record in his senior season. The Saints were 15-1 to win the I-AAA West district title in Cline[apos]s junior year and then went a perfect 12-0 to claim the league crown when he was a senior. Cline[apos]s armload of awards his final prep campaign included selection to all-conference, all-state, all-regional tournament, all-state tournament, the state all-star team and the all-Arkansas third team. He was a McDonald[apos]s All-America nominee and was honored on the all-area team by the Arkansas Democrat and the Northwest Arkansas Morning News. He was also the KURM Radio Player of the Year. The Saints won district and regional titles and lost in the state tourney semifinals. Cline[apos]s senior season averages were 18.0 points, 7.8 rebounds, 2.7 blocked shots and 1.8 steals a game. As a junior, Cline averaged 18 points and 8.0 rebounds a game to win all-conference and all-state honors and a spot on the KURM Dream Team. Shiloh Christian reached the quarterfinals of the state tourney. In his sophomore season, he had averages of 17 points and five rebounds a game with all-conference KURM Dream Team honors. Cline also played a year of football in high school as a wide receiver and defensive back for a 10-0 team his freshman season.
