2017: Finished junior campaign third on the team with 58 total stops in 11 appearances (8 starts) ... Tallied 37 solos and 3.5 TFLs in 2017 ... Averaged 5.3 tackles per game for the season and 6.0 stops per game in MVFC games ... Brought down 9 ball carriers in season finale vs. Youngstown State (11/18/17) with 8 solos and a TFL ... 2015: Was the Bears’ starting free safety in 10 of 11 games and was the club’s primary holder for PATs and field goals … Was the only MSU representative on the 2015 Valley All-Newcomer Team … Wasted little time in leaving his mark on the MSU defense as a rookie, averaging 6.4 tackles per game to rank among the top 20 defenders in the MVFC … Logged 70 total tackles to finish as MSU’s third-leading tackler after averaging 6.8 stops in league play ... High School: Standout defensive back and running back who played a key role in Lamar (Mo.) High School’s three consecutive state championships … Was a four-time all-state selection – three times on first team -- who led the Tigers to a 41-4 combined record over his last three seasons … Racked up 118 tackles and seven interceptions as a senior, while rushing for 1,458 yards and 26 touchdowns … Compiled 2,093 yards and 27 ground touchdowns to go with 6 interceptions as a junior … Also accounted for 1,117 yards and 15 touchdowns as a sophomore … The four-time all-state, all-conference and all-district pick finished his prep career with 23 interceptions, 4,920 rushing yards and 88 total touchdowns … Also was a standout sprinter in track and a starting guard in basketball.
