First and Ten Notes
- Missouri State closes out its October slate on Tuesday when the Bears entertain Sam Houston in a nationally-televised ESPN2 showdown at 7 p.m. The "Black Out" game will mark the first-ever meeting between the Bears and Bearkats as CUSA and FBS foes.
- Missouri State is 4-2 in nationally-televised Weekday CUSA games. The Bears are also 9-3 in their last dozen October games (4-1 at home).
- WR Isaiah Myers (5th yr., Cincinnati, Ohio) is coming off the best single-game receiving total in FBS this season with 11 catches for 242 yards and 2 TDs at Delaware (10/20). It was also the No. 2 single-game yardage total in Mo State history and No. 10 in CUSA history. Myers ranks No. 1 in CUSA in receiving yards (796), yards per game (113.7), total touchdowns (8) and receiving TDs (7). He is also 2nd in CUSA in all-purpose yards (118.0) and 3rd in yards per reception (20.95). He has 4 games with 100+ receiving yards.
- As of Friday, Myers ranks 1st in FBS in 30+ yard receptions (11), 3rd in 20+ yard receptions (16), 3rd in total receiving yards (796), 6th in receiving yards per game (113.7) yards per reception, 8th in receiving TDs (7), and 8th in yards per reception (20.95). Â
- With 165 career catches, WR Jmariyae Robinson (5th yr., Cocoa, Fla.) is Mo State's all-time receptions leader, eclipsing the previous mark of 150 by All-America TE Clay Harbor (2006-09). Robinson also ranks No. 2 in program history in receiving yards (2,019), just 202 yards behind current assistant coach Jermaine Saffold's 2,221 yards from 2009-11. "J-Rob" is also No. 5 all-time in career TD receptions (16) and leads CUSA and ranks 20th nationally in receptions per game (6.17). Â
- Mo State's 9 rushing TDs this season is third in CUSA, trailing only Liberty (15) and Kennesaw St. (13).
- Missouri State has 2 interception returns for touchdowns this season (Joel Boamah and J.J. O'Neal), matching New Mexico State for the CUSA lead.Â
- K Yousef Obeid (Sr., Dearborn, Mich.) has converted 37 straight extra points, while his 200 career points ranks No. 8 all-time at MSU and No. 6 among kickers.
- After last week's game at Delaware, the Bears are playing on back-to-back Tuesdays for the first time in team history. Prior to this season, Mo State had played just three Tuesday games in its history -- two in 1909 and one in 1910 -- and are now 2-2 all-time on that day. Â
- LB Jared Lloyd (5th yr, Daytona Beach, Fla.) heads into the weekend ranking No. 1 in FBS in total tackles (79) and ranking 2nd nationally in tackles per game (11.3), both of which lead Conference USA. His tackle total has already surpassed his 2025 season total (77), which led the team. He has recorded double-figure tackles in 7 of his last 10 contests overall and also ranks 14th nationally in solo tackles per game (5.00).
- Thanks in part to back-to-back 300-yard passing games by Henry Belin IV (5th yr., New York, N.Y.), the Bears are averaging a league-best 281.3 passing yards per game in CUSA games. In his 2 starts with the Bears, the Duke transfer is 54-of-74 (.730) for 637 yards and 4 touchdowns.
- The Bears rank 20th nationally in 30+ yard plays (18).
- Mo State has scored a touchdown on its opening drive of the second half 3 straight weeks and 5 of its last 6 games overall.Â
