A hard-nosed and hard-working team player with a great attitude, Atteberry put together a solid spring and will compete for the backup spot at the slot receiver behind returning starter Cadarrius Dotson this fall.

2011: Played in two ball games with valuable experienced at Oregon (9/17/11) and eventual FCS national champion North Dakota State (10/15/11) ... Named MSU Offensive Scout Team Player of the Year for second straight season.

2010: Named MSU Offensive Scout Team Player of the Year ... Did not play in any games ... Earned MVFC Honor Roll status after compiling a 3.0 GPA in Criminal Justice ... Earned MSU Offensive Scout Team Player of the Week for his efforts to prepare the defense for the Illinois State game (9/25/10).

High School: Was a three-sport standout at Buffalo (Mo.) High where he earned three letters for Coach Ed Hula[apos]s Bisons ... Was a three-time Offensive Player of the Year at BHS and earned All-Ozark Conference honorable mention laurels in 2007 and 2008 ... Rushed for career-high 221 yards in a game his senior season ... Played receiver, running back, defensive back and kick returner ... Was also team captain and Offensive MVP his senior season ... Was also a standout point guard for the Buffalo basketball squad and center fielder on the baseball team as a senior.
