Biography

2015: Brown was called on seven times out of the Bears’ bullpen as a rookie, holding the opposition scoreless in five of those outings...Logged a 1-0 record and 5.00 earned run average while fanning eight hitters in his 9.0 innings of work...Held the opposition to a .194 batting average...Allowed just one run on four hits over his first six appearances, including a season-long 3.1-inning stint at Kansas State on March 14...Made his MSU debut with a perfect inning vs. Wright State (March 6), then locked up his first victory in a 15-9 decision over Kansas (March 24)...Struck out two hitters on three occasions and posted three consecutive hitless outings, March 24-April 17...Turned in a scoreless inning April 10 in his lone MVC outing as part of a 13-2 win at Evansville...Made his postseason debut in Game 1 of the NCAA Fayetteville Super Regional (June 5) at Arkansas...Pitched for the Lakeshore Chinooks of the Northwoods League over the summer.

Came to Missouri State after racking up 36 wins over his four-year career at Catoosa High School in the Tulsa area...Compiled back-to-back 12-2 mound marks in his final two prep seasons, leading Catoosa to a perfect 12-0 league mark and a state semifinal appearance as a senior...Garnered Verdigris Valley Conference Pitcher of the Year and honorable mention all-state honors each of his final two seasons for the Indians...An Oakley All-American, Brown helped Catoosa to a school-record 30 victories and a fifth-place Oklahoma 4A finish in 2013 as a junior...Earned all-conference and all-metro citations as a sophomore after going 6-2 on the mound for the second straight year...Played summer ball for Sandlot Tulsa, going 6-0 with two saves and a 0.66 ERA over 10 appearances in 2014.
