2012: Played in 16 of the Bears[apos] 17 matches as a senior...Started in eight of those contests...Played a season-high 78 minutes against 26th-ranked UC Irvine in Albuquerque, N.M....Recorded his second career goal on the road at UMKC (Aug. 28)...Finished the season with an impressive shots on goal percentage (.857) after recording six out of seven shots on target.
2011: Earned his third letter playing in 12 matches as a junior...Registered one shot on goal for the year...Credited with his first collegiate assist in Missouri State[apos]s 2-1 conference-opening win against Central Arkansas (Oct. 8); Positioned at the top of the box, Martin drew a Central Arkansas defender, dishing it off to Sean Wilkins for the eventual game-winner.
2010: Became a two-year letterwinner after playing in all 18 matches...Was inserted into the Bears[apos] starting lineup on three occasions: at Eastern Illinois (Oct. 9), Drake (Oct. 16) and SIU Edwardsville (Nov. 6)...Recorded a single-season high in shots with 10, three of which were on goal...Scored his first goal in a Bears[apos] uniform in a 2-0 victory over Memphis (Oct. 26).
2009: Was one of two Bears to earn MVC All-Freshman honors...Played in a reserve role and appeared in all 19 matches...Registered eight shots on the season, half of which were on goal...Lettered in his first season with the Bears.
Background: Played forward his senior year for Shattuck-St. Mary[apos]s Prep School in Faribault, Minn....Prior to his season, he attended Bentonville (Ark.) High School where he was a two-year starter and letterwinner...As a midfielder for Bentonville, he was selected all-conference and all-state during his sophomore and junior seasons...Also was a three-year starter at midfielder for the Arkansas Comets club team, finishing as state runner-up all three seasons.
