2012: Joined junior Jarred Clark as a team captain for the 2012 season...Was one of four Bears to start all 17 matches...Played the entire match in 11 contests...Logged 1526 minutes on the pitch, which was third on the team for minutes played...Anchored the MSU backline that tied a school record for fewest goals allowed in a single season (14)...Led the Bears[apos] defense to five consecutive shutouts from Aug. 28 - Sept. 9...Named to the all-tournament team at the Dayton Marriott Classic and New Mexico[apos]s TLC Plumbing, Heating & Cooling Lobo Invitational...Only Bear on the 12-man all-MVC honorable mention squad.
2011: Was a starter in 17 of the Bears[apos] 19 matches...Tallied two points on the season with a multi-assist game against UMKC (Oct. 18); Was credited with assists to Heath Melugin on two separate occasions in MSU[apos]s 5-1 win over the Kangaroos...Registered three shots for the year, all of which were on goal.
2010: Started all 18 games in the Bears[apos] backfield...Helped the MSU defense register a 0.73 goals against average in 2010...Recorded four shots during his sophomore campaign with two of them on net.
2009: Saw action as a reserve during the final seven matches after getting clearance from the NCAA to play...In a match against MVC foe Drake (Nov. 1), Griffiths scored his first and only collegiate goal on a partial bicycle kick.
Background: Joined the Bears after playing for the Colchester United youth teams from U-11 through U-18...Named Player of the Year for the U-14 Colchester United Centre of Excellence team...Was a member of the Puma Youth Alliance Cup finalists in 2007-08 with Colchester United.
