SPRINGFIELD - Missouri State scored six goals from five different players, including a two-goal performance from Lillie Rasmussen, to roll past SIUE, 6-1, here Sunday afternoon at Betty and Bobby Allison South Stadium.

The Bears (3-5-1) put nine of their 12 shots on goal while holding SIUE (2-3-3) to six total attempts and just two on target. Six Bears also recorded an assist.

Missouri State broke through in the 27th minute when Maggie O'Keefe took a feed from Addisyn Weiskopf and finished to give the Bears a 1-0 advantage.

The home side added another at the 33:56 mark off a corner kick from Addy Rozycki. Marleigh Allen got the finishing touch in front of goal to double the Missouri State lead and send the Bears into halftime ahead, 2-0.

Mo State wasted little time adding to its advantage after the break, scoring three times in the opening 5:35 of the second half. Just 42 seconds into the period, O'Keefe sent a ball across the face of goal for Ellie Neath, who finished to make it 3-0. Jane Hansen also picked up an assist on the play.

Rasmussen pushed the lead to 4-0 at the 48:11 mark when she converted a penalty kick for her first goal of the afternoon. SIUE answered just 13 seconds later on a goal by Claire Nieroda, but Rasmussen responded just over two minutes later.

Goalkeeper Kate Lewis sent a long ball over the SIUE defense to Rasmussen, who finished for her second goal of the match at 50:35 to make it 5-1. Rasmussen's two goals came just 2:24 apart.

The Bears capped the scoring in the 81st minute when Anisten Cabantac connected with Rozycki, who put away Missouri State's sixth goal of the afternoon.

Missouri State finished with a 12-6 advantage in shots, a 9-2 edge in shots on goal and a 5-3 margin in corner kicks. The Bears held SIUE to just one shot in the opening half while taking six of their own.

Lewis played the first 71:02 in goal, recording one save in addition to her assist on Rasmussen's second score. Victoria Spahn played the final 18:58 for the Bears.

Missouri State will open Conference USA play next Sunday at Delaware with an 11 a.m. CT kickoff in Newark, Del. The match will air on ESPN+.
