Volleyball Earns AVCA Team Academic Award

LEXINGTON, Ky. – For the 13th time in the last 14 years, Missouri State's volleyball team earned the American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Award, the organization announced Thursday.
The Bears posted a 3.47 cumulative grade point average for the academic year, well above the 3.30 qualifying standard, with a 3.37 mark in the fall semester and 3.57 GPA in the spring. Mo State student-athletes combined for 13 semester with a 3.75 GPA or higher and 30 semesters on the Athletic Director's Honor Roll (3.0 GPA or higher).
The volleyball Bears begin the 2026 season Aug. 28-30 at a tournament hosted by Wichita State and make their home debut Sept. 3 against Little Rock to begin the three-day Dr. Mary Jo Wynn Invitational. Mo State opens the 16-match Conference USA schedule Sept. 25 at home against FIU. The Bears will host an exhibition against Kansas State on Aug. 13 at 5:30 p.m.
