SPRINGFIELD – Visiting Jacksonville State won the rubber match of the weekend Conference USA series against Missouri State by an 11-4 final Sunday afternoon at Route 66 Stadium.

On a day when the Bears honored their 2026 seniors prior to the game, Jax State took control with a four-run second inning to hand Mo State is first home series loss in the last two seasons.

Two bunt singles followed by a three-run homer set the tone for the Gamecocks (38-10, 20-4) in the second inning, though the Bears (27-17, 15-9) responded in the bottom half with a 425-foot home run by
Caden Bogenpohl (6
th) and
Carter Bergman sac fly to make it 4-2.

The teams exchanged runs in the fourth and fifth frames, with the Bears scoring on additional sac flies by Bergman and Bogenpohl to make it 6-4 in favor of Jax State.

The Gamecocks scored twice more in the sixth and seventh frames and added another run in the eighth for the 11-4 final margin as the Bears struggled to push runs across against the fifth-ranked ERA in the country.

Jax Ryan collected two hits apiece with Fyffe swatting his 19
th double of the season. Bogenpohl scored twice, and
Bryce Cermenelli's hitting streak ended at 26 games, the fourth-best in program history.

The pitching staff issued a season-high 10 walks and hit two batters.
