KENNESAW, Ga. – Missouri State lost its regular season finale at Kennesaw State Saturday afternoon by a 12-6 final but wrapped up a third-place finish in its inaugural Conference USA season with a 20-10 mark in the league and 32-18 overall record.

The Bears take the No. 3 seed into next week's league tournament, with a rematch with the seventh-seeded Owls (25-26, 13-17) at Mickey Dunn Stadium in Kennesaw scheduled for 4 p.m. Central on Thursday, May 21. Mo State takes on fourth-seeded Dallas Baptist the following day to complete pool play, with the semifinals commencing on May 23.

The Owls hit a three-run homer in the first inning of Saturday's contest and grew their lead to 6-1 after four innings.

Mo State charged back in the fifth, with a
Logan Fyffe single and
Curry Sutherland walk preceding a 418-foot home run from
Taeg Gollert (15
th) that tied the senior with Jason Hart for the Missouri State career lead of 116 extra-base hits.

Jax Ryan added a solo home run (4
th) later in the inning to pull to 6-5, but KSU countered with another three-run shot in the sixth for a 9-5 advantage.

Fyffe doubled and scored on a Gollert sac fly in the seventh, but the Owls responded with another three-run inning in the bottom half to secure the 12-6 win.

Gollert's four RBIs led the offense, and he joined
Bryce Cermenelli, Fyffe, Sutherland, Ryan and
Brant Kragel with two-hit games.
