Taeg Gollert was named the Conference USA Hitter of the Week Monday, becoming the fourth Bear to earn the award this season.

Gollert batted .500 with three homers and 10 RBIs in a sweep of New Mexico State, adding a double and slugging 1.333.

The Toronto native went 2-for-4 with five RBIs, a double and his fourth career grand slam on Friday, setting Mo State's career record in that category.

He went 3-for-5 with two homers and five RBIs on Saturday, becoming the 11
th player in program history to hit 40 career home runs. On Sunday, Gollert with 1-for-3 with a walk, run scored and outfield assist by throwing out a runner at home from left field.

The senior pushed his career extra-base hit total to 114, two shy of Jason Hart's program record, and jumped to fourth place with 183 RBIs as a Bear.

In CUSA games this year, Gollert leads all league players with 38 RBIs and ranks second with 11 home runs.

The Bears are 30-17 overall and sit in third place in CUSA at 18-9 heading into the final weekend of regular season play, May 14-16 at Kennesaw State. Mo State also sits at No. 24 in the May 10 release of the NCAA RPI.
