May 01, 2026

DALLAS – Missouri State softball's Riley Baber was named to the Conference USA Softball All-Academic Team, the league announced today.

This marks the first CUSA All-Academic Team selection of Baber's career. The sophomore owns a 3.98 GPA as she pursues a degree in Biomedical Sciences. Baber was named an NFCA Scholar-Athlete as a freshman and has been on the MSU Athletic Director's Honor Roll in all three semesters of her career to this point.

A native of Overland Park, Kan., Baber leads the Missouri State offense with a .349 average and 19 extra-base hits this season. She ranks 4th in CUSA and 53rd nationally with 15 doubles on the year, which ranks second in Mo State single-season history. Baber owns 11 multiple-hit games and four multiple-RBI games in 2026, and she also helps anchor a Mo State defense that has turned 21 double plays (ranks 1st in CUSA and 44th nationally).

Missouri State closes out its season this weekend with a three-game CUSA series against New Mexico State (April 30-May 2).
