SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Missouri State acrobatics and tumbling continued its strong late-season rise Saturday afternoon, posting another program record for total meet score in a 250.105-270.205 loss at No. 6 Augustana.
The Bears finished with a 250.105, topping the previous program-best mark set earlier this season and giving the team its first 250-plus score of the year. Missouri State stayed within striking distance through the opening half, trailing 93.20-96.35 at the break.
Missouri State opened the meet with a 37.05 in compulsory, highlighted by a 9.800 in pyramid and a 9.700 in toss. The Bears followed with a 27.60 in acro, including a 9.650 in the seven-element heat.
Pyramid again stood out as one of the team's top events, producing a 28.55 total behind scores of 9.250 in the inversion heat, 9.500 in the synchronized heat and 9.800 in the open heat. Toss added another strong event total at 27.45, with scores of 9.000, 9.300 and 9.150 across the three heats.
In tumbling, Missouri State posted a 51.325 and turned in some of its top individual scores of the day. The aerial pass scored a 9.325, while the six-element pass added a 9.475 to help keep momentum going into the team event.
The Bears closed with a 78.130 in the team event to lock in the record-setting final total of 250.105.
Missouri State wraps up the 2026 regular season on Thursday, April 9, when it hosts Morgan State in the Battle of the Bears at Hammons Student Center. The meet will also serve as Senior Night.
